Description
1968 Fairliner 340 Fastback — Tacoma-Built NW Classic, Boathouse Kept 25 Yrs
Description
They don't build them like this anymore — literally. This Fairliner 340 Fastback was built right here in Tacoma, a true Northwest express cruiser with the composite hull construction that made these boats legendary for lasting decades.
This has been kept in a boathouse for the last 25 years and always under cover, she's in excellent condition throughout. We usually cruise comfortably under 10 knots for easy days on the water, but open her up and she'll hit 24 knots on a good day. A 2025 survey is available for serious buyers.
Power:
Original twin Crusader 327s, rebuilt in the late 1990s. Starboard transmission rebuilt January 2025.
Recent Work
New shafts, cutlass bearings, propeller rebalance, alignment, and bottom paint — August 2023
Hull paint — 2019
New refrigerator
Partial teak decks
Details That Set Her Apart
Stretched swim step with swim ladder
Teak and holly flooring in the cabin
Reeded glass in the galley
Walk-thru transom opening with gate and canvas cover
This is a boat that's been loved and maintained, not just used — the boathouse-kept history and recent mechanical work speak for themselves. Serious inquiries welcome; happy to share survey details and maintenance history.
