Description
I am selling my 1990 17' Arima Sea Chaser. The interior wood has been cleanly refreshed and painted, and the boat is fully rigged and ready to fish the Sound or the San Juans immediately.
For those unfamiliar with Arima:
These boats were specifically designed for the Pacific Northwest and are highly sought after for a reason. Unlike most older fiberglass boats, Arimas do not suffer from rotted floors. They were built with fiberglass stringers and a foam-injected dual-hull design, making them virtually unsinkable. The wood-cored transom on this specific boat is completely solid with zero rot, which was explicitly tested and verified by a marine shop during the outboard repower.
Main Power:
2007 Evinrude E-TEC 90 HP (Under 300 hours total).
Just received a full, extensive service from an authorized tech: injectors professionally cleaned, all filters replaced, new water pump, and a brand-new fuel pump installed.
I have put about 200 flawless miles on it since the service. Our last trip was a 72-mile run through the San Juans, shrimping and handling 2-3ft waves without a single hiccup. Averaged 4.3mpg.
Kicker:
Older Mercury 15 HP. It runs great and pushes the boat perfectly. It runs just a little smoky, but it works hard and gets the job done.
Electronics & Electrical (Completely Redone):
2024 Garmin GPSMAP 943xsv paired with a premium Garmin GT51M-TM transom-mount transducer (Mid-Band CHIRP, ClearVü, and SideVü—perfect for tracking salmon and bottom structure around here).
ICOM IC-M424G VHF Marine Radio mounted under-dash.
The entire boat was completely rewired with heavy-duty, oversized wiring to easily handle a high-draw pot puller.
Dual Battery Setup: Two full-size batteries wired to a selector/kill switch, properly configured to isolate the house electronics from the starting battery.
Installed a clean Blue Sea Systems fuse block and a new helm dash panel complete with blue LED rocker switches, built-in voltage meter, and dual USB charging ports.
Hull & Layout Upgrades:
Full custom blue foam Sea Decking installed throughout the cockpit.
Custom passenger seating setup: a premium marine seat mounted directly to the heavy-duty slide lid of a weather-tight rotomolded cooler.
Includes the original blue bimini top with the full window enclosure curtains/side panels (snaps are in great shape).
Also includes the original factory boat cover (needs a few seams restitched and a fresh coat of waterproofing, but completely functional).
All brand-new safety equipment stays on board, including a Forespar MOB strobe light and a First Alert fire extinguisher.
Trailer:
Completely refreshed last year with brand-new Trailer King RST tires and wheels.
The wheel bearings were fully serviced and repacked at the same time and are equipped with Bearing Buddies. It pulls beautifully at highway speeds and is 100% road-ready for a long trip.
The "Bonus Bin" Included:
I’m throwing in a heavy-duty storage tote loaded with all the original documentation and spare maintenance gear: the original factory boxes for the Garmin 943xsv and ICOM VHF, the instructional manuals, a Camco DIY boat winterizer kit, a spare Evinrude water pump kit, and extra marine lines.
Asking Price: $15,500
Saltwater Gear Bundle Option:
I am also liquidating my complete shellfish and trolling setup. It includes 2 Scotty 1106 electric downriggers (fully rigged with swivel bases, rod holders, braid, and 15lb balls), an Ace Line Hauler Brutus Pacific Pro puller (with the Bulldog auto-coiler and custom foot pedal), 4 fully rigged crab pots with leaded lines, and 5 stackable shrimp pots (4 spot prawn traps, 1 heavy-duty weighted welded wire trap, and 1 brand-new non-spot trap with the tags still on).
I have this gear bundle listed separately on Marketplace for $2,250, but if you buy the boat, I will throw the entire turn-key setup in for an extra $1,500.
Clean titles in hand for both boat and trailer. Located in Sedro-Woolley, WA. Shoot me a PM if you want to come take a look or have any questions.
