This Rinker 246 Captiva came originally with the 300hp Volvo 5.7 OSI MPI and the composite outdrive system. The composite sterndrive was removed and replaced February 2026 with a current Volvo SX-M duo prop and associated transom shield. All work was performed by the Volvo-Penta factory authorized service center, work entailed the removal of the old drive assembly, the removal of the engine and associated transom shield and gimbal housing, inspection of the engine compartment and hull, installation of replacement gimbal housing and transom shield, reinstallation of the engine, the outdrive system and hydraulic trim assembly, new diverter plates were installed in the Corsa exhaust system, new plugs, cap, rotor, oil change were performed on the engine. Volvo-Penta engine and stern drive packages are known for their reliability and sporty performance. Included in the engine compartment is a Blue Sea battery monitoring and protection system, Corsa direct exhaust system and NutraSalt injection system. Motor currently has 483 hours.
