2025 Sun Tracker Party Barge 22 Review: Value Pontoon for Phoenix Families
Admin User · May 10, 2026
The 2025 Sun Tracker Party Barge 22 is aimed at buyers who want a lot of usable seating and a simple, friendly ownership experience. In Phoenix, that formula makes sense for families and groups that spend most days cruising, anchoring, and swimming.
Best use cases
Relaxed cruising, family gatherings, lake picnics, and swimming coves are the natural strengths. Buyers who care more about comfort and shade than speed will understand the appeal quickly.
Shopping tips
Compare engine horsepower, bimini coverage, flooring, seating condition, trailer options, and whether the boat has enough storage for your normal crew. If buying used, inspect upholstery and covers carefully because Arizona sun accelerates wear.
Bottom line
For many Phoenix buyers, a value pontoon is the most practical boat. The Party Barge 22 is not the fanciest option, but it delivers the kind of simple lake-day utility that families actually use.
Pros
- +Strong value for a new family pontoon
- +Simple layout works for cruising, swimming, and entertaining
- +Easy boarding and broad appeal for mixed-age groups
- +Good match for relaxed Lake Pleasant and Saguaro Lake outings
Cons
- -Not as upscale as premium pontoon brands
- -Performance depends heavily on engine package
- -Buyers should confirm shade, flooring, and storage options
Our Verdict
The Sun Tracker Party Barge 22 is a strong value pick for Phoenix families who want an approachable pontoon for social lake days without paying for a luxury trim level.
